Matthew 25: 40 says, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.”

Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. Martin Luther King, Jr. 

It doesn’t always have to be a lot of time you give – maybe it’s just a phone call. VIS gives you the opportunity to exercise your faith walk by being the hands and feet of Jesus.  

VIS does not have volunteers; they come through the churches and therefore are volunteers of the church. In order to serve through VIS, you have to be an active participant in a local Christian church.
