John's Story
Imagine suffering injuries in an automobile accident resulting in both ankles being broken, and having no family or friends who are able to help with something as simple as doing laundry or vacuuming floors. Add to living on the second floor of an apartment building and feeling isolated because it’s extremely difficult to leave the house. Or able to leave, but can’t drive so someone has provide a ride. The feeling of losing independence is overwhelming. This is not a fictional story. It was John's reality!
Entering into this story are a few people from a local church. People who came and helped John clean and do his laundry. Not only that, but they helped him emotionally by coming in and playing games with him, They made a difference by spending time with John talking, sharing pizza and praying for him. For John, this new support system formed and helped him while he healed.
