Cornerstone United Reformed Church TASC

The Cornerstone United Reformed Church of Hudsonville’s TASC youth were out in full force this week!  TASC stands for Teens All Serving Christ, and is a week long event where teens from all over the US and Canada come to learn about serving and loving in Christ.  After a time of orientation and getting to know each other on the Saturday they arrive, they were welcomed by the church during their Worship on Sunday as well as a time of fellowship in the afternoon.  During the weekdays they split into groups and go out and serve through community service.  VIS coordinated many of their groups and placed them at locations such as GR Parks, Vista Springs Assisted Living Center Wyoming, Blandford Nature Center and Degage Ministries.  Pictured here are two groups doing trail and road maintenance at Blandford Nature Center.

Each evening the groups are asked to share what they did during the day and the impact they felt they made.  These times of sharing are woven into the evening lesson and devotional time as a way to reflect on God’s goodness and His love for them.

We thank the TASC groups for their desire to serve with a caring and compassionate heart and giving of themselves to others.  It is our prayer that God continues to bless them as they go back to their home communities.
